This is step by step to solved ” error 17 / code : error 17″ Grub booting. It haved after we make some change in harddisk partition where two OS like ubuntu and windows in one.

You must have Live CD / Master CD of OS linux / Ubuntu,
1. Booting with live CD
2. go to terminal and type ” $ sudo grub ”
3. in grub command , type ” find /boot/grub/stage1 ”
4. you will see like ” hdx,x ” , e.g hd0,5
5. type ” root (hdx,x) ” x=======>is value from step 4.
6. type ” setup (hd0) ”
7. type ” quit ” from grub command
8. restart
